We had the pleasure to work with award-winning architect Christian Zapatka in a modern home in McClean, Virginia. Mid Atlantic Welding designed, fabricated and installed the floating staircase you see in the article - make sure you arrow through the slide show to see both pictures of the front and the back of the staircase!
The pine block, glass and steel floating staircase leads to the second floor office, as well as to the lower level guest suite and exercise room. It is made from all steel supports that were coated in LineX then we installed 4” Rachuba Pine treads. To finish we made all the stainless steel and steel rails that we installed the glass panel into.
